News: SEGA Classics Free

If you ever wanted to pick up that oversized Golden Axe and roleplay as Gimli, now’s your chance. As part of its “Make War Not Love 3” event, a collection of games including vintage fantasy slash ’em up Golden Axe are currently free on Steam.

It’s no temporary deal either – once downloaded they’re yours forever, apparently. The package includes Golden Axe as part of the ‘SEGA Classics Collection’, but also includes some other games which I suppose count as retro: Jet Set Radio and Hell Yeah!

To download, follow either the promotional page, or go direct to the appropriate games. There will be an option to pay for them as per normal but just under that should also be the option to ‘install game’ as part of the promotion package. I found Steam to be buggy as heck though, and sometimes the links just gave me errors. So if it doesn’t work, just try again.

No idea when the offer ends, so best to act fast!
